JOB TITLE:  National Accounts Inside Sales Administrator   
FUNCTIONAL AREA: SALES
TYPICALLY REPORTS TO: National Accounts Inside Sales Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision, employee is assigned to two (2) National Accounts Managers and their assigned accounts.  Employee will report to our newly assigned position of National Accounts Inside Sales Manager and to the Vice President of National Accounts.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Supports the National Accounts team members and their assigned accounts.  These newly created positions will allow National Account Managers (NAM’s) to concentrate more on selling, etc.  This will include but not limited to:

  1. Maintaining a Home Office. 
  2. Working up quotes/proposals per sales' request
  3. Limited travel to meet and greet assigned customers or attend customer events, special industry shows, etc. 
  4. Need to be proficient in computer skills, Epicor, Microsoft Outlook, Sales Logix, (Maxon, CRM) etc. 
  5. Employee will be assigned to manage certain paperwork functions like SOR’s (Special Order Request), quotes and or
  6. special assigned projects. 
  7. Help resolve customer related issues. 
  8. Works with other Maxon departments, ie Customer Service, Warranty, Tech Service, Shipping and Planning for customer related issues. 
  9. Assists in lead generation with specific new industries, new customers, etc.

Interfaces regularly with employees and represents the company to prospects and customers (distributors and end-users).

Independent decision making is required within established company policies and guidelines.

Handles routine to complex decisions related to engineering product changes and documentation

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge Of:

  • Great oral and written communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel etc.
  • Well organized and efficient
  • Transportation or manufacturing background a plus

 

Skills Demonstrated By:

  1. Ability to work with minimal supervision
  2. Ability to work staggered hours if needed
  3. Ability to do limited travel upon occasion
  4. Ability to maintain a home office

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Position requires being able to work in a home office; travel may be required at times.
